Kane Innovations, manufacturer of security screens, detention products and architectural railings, has announced its acceptance into the exclusive TIGER Drylac U.S.A., Inc. family of Approved Applicators. With this distinctive approval status in place, the metal building products fabricator is now cleared to utilize TIGER’s Series 38 super durable powder coating finishing via their in-house powder coat line.

TIGER is a leading powder coating supplier to the architectural community, known for their technologically-advanced and environmentally-friendly surface finishing solutions. To be deemed a TIGER Approved Applicator, a surface finishing applicator must withstand rigorous testing to ensure that pretreatment methods, application equipment, and quality control procedures are capable of producing consistent results that align with AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) 2604 standards. 

Types of AAMA-mandated polyester powder coating finishing tests include: adhesion, salt spray resistance, chemical resistance, color uniformity and gloss level, dry film hardness, impact resistance, abrasion resistance and more.

TIGER’s Approved Applicator program has been in existence for over 20 years, with approximately 60 applicators currently carrying an active approval status. 

Kane Innovations’ Approved Applicator certificate, issued by TIGER Drylac U.S.A., Inc. in early May 2015, will be up for renewal in 24 months.
